Past lives have all died. Their Death pleases me deeply, for from their Death I could infer their once vital existence. The vitality of Death is rotten. Its rotten state deeply pleases me, for from the rottenness I could infer that they are not yet void.

The clay of life is littered on the earth’s surface. No tall trees grow out of it, only wild weeds. And I am culpable of this.

Wild weeds, not deeply rooted, unassuming in ***earance, yet they soak up dew and moisture and swallow up the blood and flesh of cadavers, as they each fight to survive. Whilst alive, they are still trampled on, scythed and meet their death and decay.

But I am composed and relieved. I will churn out roaring laughter and soaring songs.

Although I love my wild weeds, I loathe the earth’s surface they decorate.

Infernal flames are raging underneath this surface. Once the lava gushes out, all wild weeds will be scorched, as will all the tall trees. Hence there will be no rottenness possible.

But I shall be composed and relieved. I shall churn out roaring laughter and soaring songs.

Heaven and Earth are so undisturbed that I cannot sing or laugh. Even if they were disturbed, I would probably be unable to. On the cusp of light and dark, of life and death, of the past and the future, I hereby dedicate this bunch of wild weeds to friends and foes, to humans and beasts, and to the loving and the unloving, as a testimony.

For myself, for friends and foes, for humans and beasts, and for the loving and the unloving, I pray for the decay of the wild weeds to come swiftly. Or I will have not previously lived, which will be all the more unfortunate than death and decay.
